Since 1947, The Club has been the focal point of Ku-ring-gai’s veteran community. In its day-to-day operation the Club supports the social needs of its members as well as community groups, charity fundraisers, sponsorships and commemorative events.
The Roseville Returned Servicemen’s Memorial Club Limited (the Club) was officially incorporated on the 13th November 1972 and the Clubs Constitution was established at this time. The constitution is underpinned by two key Objects:
To carry on and conduct a social club and to do all things necessary to achieve this object
To provide a home and meeting place for ex-serviceman and maintain a fitting memorial to the valour and sacrifices of those who made the supreme sacrifice in theatres of war.
Four years ago, acting in accordance with these Objects the Club Executive with the support of its members entered into a Development Agreement with Hyecorp to realise a new sustainable community facility for members that would enable the short, medium and long term survival of the Club. The Development Agreement involved the construction of a new club facility and residential apartments in the airspace above. The project would become known as the New Rose.
